This iconic 1960s all-metal Czech-made training glider has been beautifully refurbished in Eastern Europe and joined our fleet in late 2022.

Our Aim
The aim of our project was to provide the club with an amazing spin training glider!
Our trusty K13's were effectively barred from spinning, so we brought in the Blanik.
With its partly retractable undercarriage and oversize flaps, it has exceeded all our expectations as a top-notch spin trainer!
As of May 2025, our L13 has achieved nearly 500 launches and is gaining popularity month after month!
Interest is sweeping the UK Gliding Community!
Our Blanik has attracted much interest in the UK gliding community.
Spinnable glass fibre training gliders are not cheap, and to date G-DMAX has enjoyed loan spells at Upwood, Crowland and Husbands Bosworth
(the latter for a BGA instructor course).
